Earlier this year, the Anantara Vacation Club Phuket Mai Khao team visited partner charity, the Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation, at a local village school. Armed with plenty of pizza, drinks and snacks, the team also gave the children some new cuddly toy friends. Over the festive period, teddy bears had been generously bought and then donated to the school by Anantara Vacation Club Points Owners.

As well as the heart-warming toys, a generous 45,000 THB was raised from the donation box for the Foundation by our generous guests. All money will go directly to helping these local school children further their education.

The Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation works locally to improve economic opportunities of young people by funding and implementing high quality, practical English language education in government schools on Phuket Island.

The foundation holds classes for over 1000 children in three schools run by qualified, fluent English-speaking teachers. There is also an extracurricular programme for orphans, comprising of fun sports and arts and crafts programmes. The Foundation’s overall goal is to help young Thai’s become capable and confident English speakers that could lead to employment in Phuket’s tourism industry.
